The latest luxury hotel in the Italian Bulgari brand of hotels and resorts will open on December 7, the company said this week. The property is the luxury goods brand's fifth hotel and comes after the opening of an outpost in Beijing in September. The group has other hotels in London, Milan and Bali and will open in Shanghai next year and in Moscow in 2020.
The resort is located on the Meraas-developed Jumeira Bay Island, "a six million square foot mixed-use island development sculpted in the shape of a titanic seahorse riding the arcs of sand and rock", and will have 101 rooms and suites in the main hotel buildings, and 20 hotel villas. It has been paired with a residential development of 165 apartments, eight penthouses and 15 mansions and both have access to a new Bulgari Marina and Yacht Club. There is also a private beach.
Bulgari called the hotel "a magnificent island oasis of serenity and impeccable design." There is also a 1,700sqm Bulgari spa and restaurants by Michelin-starred chef Niko Romito.
Rates start at $985 (Dh3,620) per night including taxes (www.bulgarihotels.com).
