Ras Al Khaimah will unveil a series of new adrenaline-filled attractions over the course of the winter season. Already home to the world’s longest zipline, the emirate will introduce a bungee jump, a suspended obstacle course, and a new zipline tour through the mountains. The Jebel Jais Zipline Tour, which launched in September, features seven ziplines, connected by suspended platforms, ranging from 337 metres to 1 kilometre in length. Reaching speeds of up to 60kph, particpants will cover a total distant of five kilometres. The new course also features the highest bridge in the UAE, suspended 1,250 metres above sea level. Before the end of 2019, the zipline tour will be joined by the ‘Bull Maze’ – a series of 35 suspended obstacle course at Jebel Jais. Split between three levels with the highest 20 metres above the ground, the challenging obstacles will be one for adrenaline junkies. In early 2020, Jebel Jais will add a bungee jump to its activity offering. The controlled bungee, suspended 23 metres off the ground – 1,500 metres above sea level – will offer a free fall of 8 metres. The attraction has become a bucket list item for many UAE residents, offering a 2.8 kilometre flight over the Jebel Jais mountains.
