And when it comes to living, a UK-based project called Blue Gym found that people who live near water or coastlines are often happier and healthier.
In Dubai, there are plenty of waterside locations where developers have chosen to construct some of the world’s most luxurious waterfront homes, hotels and businesses.
Lucy Bush for real estate advisor Savills said: “Dubai has a rich history of waterfront living, from times gone by when pearl divers would live close to the boats that provided their livelihood, through to cutting edge, modern designs on innovative man-made islands.”
Savills has listed seven of the best waterfront properties available to purchase in the emirate today. They range from a villa on the iconic Palm Jumeirah fronds to a newly developed community complete with marina, yacht club and private beach.
