Catch the opening of Geiko & Maiko of Kyoto, a photography exhibition by Robert van Koesveld. The travel and cultural photographer spent five years capturing images of traditional communities in Japan, as well as the skilled artists who preserve customs that date back centuries. Van Koesveld, a former psychotherapist, aims to communicate the atmosphere of a place, and create portraits that show the quality of presence in his subjects.
