Crowds of people rolled up to Dubai Design District yesterday to watch some of the strongest men and women in the UAE pull mammoth trucks and smaller cars, using only their body strength. Look through the photo gallery above to see more from the event on Friday. The Emirates Strength Truck Pull, as the event was called, took place in parking lot C at d3, and was held in collaboration with the Dubai Sports Council and World's Ultimate Strongman. It was organised by Emirates Strength, which runs the Middle East's Strongest Man competition. Spectators watched for free on Friday as these athletes showed off their enormous strength. The male and female participants pulled trucks weighing three, eight and 15 tonnes. They had been tasked with pulling a truck 30 metres in the fastest time possible. There was also a guest appearance by Larry Wheels, the award-winning bodybuilding and record-setting power-lifter. Wheels is the first World's Ultimate Strongman incubator athlete.
