If you find yourself wandering down Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard, you will now likely encounter one of the Dubai Stars. The walkable attraction honours "exceptional achievers who have left an indelible mark on the world" with pavement plaques, much like the Hollywood Walk of Fame in Los Angeles, California.
The launch of the Dubai Stars took place on Sunday, October 20, with artist Mattar Bin Lahej, former Al-Hilal footballer Yasser Saeed Al-Qahtani and comedy television personality Ahmed Helmy all in attendance. Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor; singer Balqees Fathi; singer, composer and actor Muhammad Atif Aslam; actress Mona Zaki; and internet star Khalid Al Ameri all also attended the inaugural press conference.
Along the Downtown Dubai pathway and outside The Dubai Mall, you can now see the plaques of a number of stars, including Portuguese footballer, Luis Figo; Chinese actor, Li Yifeng and Egyptian singer, Amr Diab.
K-pop superstars Exo's plaque is also locate near The Dubai Mall.

In the first wave, 400 stars are said to have been unveiled, honouring local and international personalities from various fields including music, film, art, architecture, sport and literature, as well as social influencers. However, Emaar has estimated that there will be 10,000 plaques down Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard when the project is completed.
