The 88th Geneva International Motor Show opens to the public tomorrow, with plenty of talked-out new models making their debuts at the event.

As at any motor show worth its salt, supercars and hypercars are some of the most anticipated on display, including the Ferrari 488 Pista, Zenvo TSR-S (which produces almost 1,200hp), Lamborghini Huracán Performante Spyder, Bugatti Chiron Sport and UAE-based W Motors' Fenyr SuperSport. The Iconiq Seven, a collaborative electric vehicle from W Motors and Chinese company Iconiq, is also representing the Emirates in Switzerland.

SUVs are in the limelight, with the world premiere of the Jaguar I-Pace, the British brand's first fully electric vehicle, plus the first showing of the Range Rover SV Coupé, a limited-edition, two-door version of the popular veteran model. There is also a debut motor show appearance for the Bentley Bentayga V8, which The National drove recently – look out for our coverage later this week.

And Rolls-Royce continues to enhance its reputation for uber-luxury vehicles, showcasing three bespoke Phantoms.

There are also futuristic concepts aplenty, perhaps most interestingly Porsche's Mission E Cross Turismo, Aston Martin's Lagonda Vision Concept and the McLaren Senna GTR Concept.

For more information on the show, which runs until March 18, visit www.gims.swiss.
