Police in Vietnam have been ordered to step up anti-horn enforcement after a powerful truck horn allegedly caused the death of a child, AFP reports from a state media publication last week. A mother and child in southern Ho Chi Minh City were riding on a motorcycle when the blast from a truck horn startled the woman and caused her and her child to fall, AFP quotes the Vietnam News. The child was killed, it said. Maximum fines for the use of illegal horns were more than doubled last month from 200,000 dong (Dh39) to 500,000 dong (Dh97), the report said.
