We've all heard both sides of the story - while some have horror stories from a home rented via Airbnb, others cannot stop raving about their perfect accommodation in a foreign country.
And those who are very lucky end up staying at a property that not only ticks the basic boxes (clean, conveniently located and spacious, for example), but also brings in elements of beauty, luxury and much sought-after isolation.
To mark its 10th anniversary this month, Airbnb took stock of the homes that have proved most popular over the past decade, housing a total of 860,000 guests and garnering almost a million wish-list clicks. Check out our gallery above and get inspired to book your next holiday (or to redo your own home decor).
