To celebrate Princess Charlotte's fourth birthday on May 2, Kensington Palace has released three brand-new photos of the young royal, all taken by the Duchess of Cambridge, a keen amateur photographer.
According to Kensington Palace, all of the photographs were taken last month, at both Kensington Palace and Anmer Hall, the family's home in Norfolk.

In two of the photos Charlotte is seen wearing a tartan skirt and grey jumper, climbing a fence and playing with a buttercup flower. In the third image, she is seen sitting and beaming, wearing a blue, flowery dress.
Charlotte is said to be a headstrong and playful young girl. In the past, Prince William has joked that his daughter "keeps [Prince George] in check".
Royal fans have commented just how much Princess Charlotte, who goes by the nickname Lottie, looks like Queen Elizabeth when she was a girl.
Other royal watchers have described her as "her father's double".
The photos come little more than a week since a new set of images were released to celebrate her little brother Prince Louis' first birthday on April 23.
