The Sportsman's Arms in Zayed Sports City will serve pancakes all day long to celebrate Shrove Tuesday. Guests can choose from classic or blueberry pancakes served with maple syrup or cream. You can get a stack of three pancakes for Dh45 or you can take on the Beat the Stack Challenge with six pancakes for Dh75. Toppings include blueberries, strawberries, bananas, raspberries and chocolate.

How about a side of Titanic with your pancakes? Reform Social & Grill is pairing pancake day with their famous Tuesday cinema night in the orchard. Guests can watch the classic movie Titanic while filling up on stacks and stacks of pancakes at the pop-up crepe station. Crepes start at Dh25 each.

Crab Tavern in Media One Hotel in Dubai Media City will host a pancake-eating competition on Tuesday. Competitors will chomp through a stack of about 40 pancakes smothered in whipped cream and maple syrup. If you can conquer the stack, you'll win a brunch for two with unlimited select beverages. You'll also get your picture on the wall of fame. No need to register to compete. Walk-ins are welcome.
