February 23-March 4 Foodies can dine for the bargain price of just Dh199 a person at 15 restaurants participating in Dubai Restaurant Week. Most of the featured restaurants are offering three-course meals, but some include more.
February 23 Firebird Diner at Four Seasons DIFC will host 'The Great American Road Trip' menu, offering 10 authentic dishes from the American Midwest, the deep south, the north-east and the west coast. • 7pm to 1am. Dh225 for four dishes; Dh275 for seven, Dh395 for all 10. Call 04 506 0100
On February 25 Senara on The Palm Jumeirah will host a "catch and cook" event, where guests can take a four-hour boat trip with a deep-sea fishing team, then return to Senara to watch the sunset while chefs prepare what they have caught.

March 1 The Bab Al Shams Desert Resort will host a desert dinner with authentic Arabian fare at Al Hadeerah Desert Restaurant. There will be 14 live cooking stations, featuring dishes such as kingfish in Arabic spices, kibbeh saniyeh, chargrilled camel meat, traditional Emirati desserts, Arabic ice cream and more. February 23 to 25; March 2 to 4; March 9 to 11 Every weekend during the festival, you can grab bites from the food trucks at Last Exit while watching a free outdoor screening of a movie. Each weekend will focus on a different era, including black-and-white Hollywood treats, Arabic classics, movies from the 1950s and cartoons. • Family-friendly movies will be shown at 7pm, classics at 8.30pm, and contemporary movies at 10pm.
