A new American-Irish gastropub called The Sportsman's Arms has just opened in Zayed Sports City on the first floor of the International Tennis Stadium.
During the soft opening phase, the licensed pub will open from 5pm every night and offer 50 per cent off all food. From September 16 onward, it will open daily from 8am.
The Sportsman's Arms will serve breakfast, coffee, tea, lunch and dinner — and a family-friendly Friday brunch will launch soon. Expect typical pub fare on the menu such as honey treacle chicken wings, USDA black Angus burgers, Atlantic cod and chips and sticky toffee pudding.
There are floor-to-ceiling windows throughout the venue and large screen televisions and projector screens in the bar and lounge areas. The pub will soon open two terraces for alfresco dining in the cooler months. One terrace will overlook the tennis courts and playground; and the other terrace, somewhat separated from the restaurant, will have an area for children to play while parents dine.
