If a visit to 1484 by Puro in Ras Al Khaimah has long been on your wishlist, you may want to hold on to that for a little while longer.

The restaurant, located on Jebel Jais, and known to be the highest restaurant in the UAE, has announced that it will be temporarily closing.

"In light of the strengthened restrictions put in place to ensure the well-being of all visitors to Ras Al Khaimah, and in our ongoing pursuit to ensure that our guests have the best possible experience, we have decided to temporarily close 1484 By Puro on Jebel Jais," a spokesperson for the restaurant has said.

“We see this as an opportune time to enhance our offering and reconfigure and expand the space to create an even more memorable dining experience."

However, those planning to visit for views of the Hajar mountains in the upcoming days will not be disappointed – the restaurant will host an outdoor pop-up dining experience in its place.

According to the spokesperson, the pop-up will be serving the same international dishes that "customers know and love" over at 1484 by Puro. The concept will also follow a similar casual style that the restaurant is famous for with the additional outdoor seating allowing guests to make the most of the views and weather.

The pop-up will be open daily from 8am to 7pm, and reservations will remain mandatory to control the incoming footfall. Those wanting to visit by make a booking at puro.ae/1484-by-puro .

The pop-up will run until the new, more expansive space is finalised and ready to re-welcome guests.

Toroverde Adventure Center, home to the world's longest zipline, will be moved to a temporary spot so as not to disturb the Jebel Jais Flight customers while the work is underway.
