The Lake in Dubai’s Emirates Living District has a fantastic new eatery you must check out.
Reform Social & Grill is being dubbed the city’s first true gastropub and is a carbon copy of the famous London venue of the same name.
Situated on a lake, with pool and lush garden views, the restaurant serves British food and beverages from 7am until late; every day of the week. Here’s what tickled our taste buds when we paid a visit.
Getting started: Reform has perfected the sharing concept with its platters for the table. Meat, fish and cheese lovers are catered for, as are seafood fans who can feast upon devilled whitebait, king prawns, scallops and thyme-infused calamari for Dh220.
Fishing for compliments: It doesn't get fresher than Reform's catch of the day; we recommend the whole sea bream with fennel, orange and chicory for Dh145.
Best puds in the hood: We loved the Amedei chocolate pot with salt caramel for Dh35 and the sticky toffee pudding for D45. Want extra custard? "Don't be afraid to ask!" is the tag line on the menu.
Oh so cheesy: To round off your meal order the British artisanal cheese selection. Ideal for sharing, there's a generous farmhouse selection served with English quince, bread and digestive biscuits for Dh78.
