New cooking class at The Meydan Hotel in Dubai

The Meydan Hotel in Dubai has just launched a monthly cooking class where guests will learn how to cook Japanese and Chinese cuisine.

The two-hour class, held in Shiba restaurant, will be hosted by Shiba’s resident Japanese chef Masakazu Mikuriya and the restaurant’s Chinese speciality chef Bing Xia. Mikuriya has more than 25 years experience cooking in Japan and the UAE, while Xia has more than 10 years experience cooking in China and the UAE. During the class, Mikuriya and Xia will each show guests how to make two of their signature dishes, which will feature sushi, sashimi and dim sum.

The class will be held the last Wednesday of each month and will include a hands-on cooking session with the two chefs, a branded apron, one drink and printed recipes.

The first class is scheduled for Wednesday, March 29, from 6.30pm to 8.30pm at Shiba. Dh275 per person. Advance reservations are required. To book a seat, call 04 381 3111 or email meydanrestaurantreservations@meydanhotels.com.
