Italian chef Gianluca Cazzin from Venice, Italy is headed to the UAE to share his country’s cuisine with guests at Frankie’s Italian Restaurant at the Fairmont Bab Al Bahr in Abu Dhabi.
Cazzin is the co-owner of two award-winning restaurants in Venice and has more than 20 years experience specialising in traditional Italian cuisine.
As a visiting chef, Cazzin will present a rotating seasonal menu that will change every three weeks. The Blue menu from September 6-26 will showcase fresh seafood imported from the coasts of Northern and Southern Italy. The Green menu from September 27-October 17 will offer dishes from Milan to Florence.
The White menu from October 18 — November 7 will have a heavy influence from the Piedmont region and focus on exquisite ingredients such as white truffles of Alba and Robiola mountain cheese made from raw milk. Finally, the Red menu, available November 8-28, will represent Autumn in Italy. It will offer diners a taste of authentic Italian flavours with a modern twist.
The colour-coded menus are a tribute to the colours of Italy’s flag and the country’s surrounding seas.
The menus will be available from September 6-November 28. From noon to 3pm for lunch and 7pm to 11.30pm for dinner.
