Little Manila, a new Filipino restaurant concept, has just opened on Al Muraqqabat Street in Deira, Dubai. Catering to Filipinos — the third largest expatriate community in the GCC — Little Manila will not only serve up authentic Filipino cuisine — but also a feeling of home and community. Parvez Naqvi, from Al Ahli Holdings Group (the group behind the concept), says, “The idea behind Little Manila was to give [Filipinos] exposure to experience the flavours of their home country while staying in the Middle East and to give them a chance to come together as a community to call a place their own.”
Little Manila is a gathering of beloved brands from The Philippines all under one roof. You’ll find an array of Filipino favourites including Binalot, Jay-J’s, Fruitas, Mochi Créme, Zagu and Fiftea. Little Manila also has two in-house brands: Kwekie Bites and Breadshop.
Naqvi says: “We want Filipinos to see Little Manila as a place that brings the true essence of their homeland right at their convenience with everyday accessibility. A place where they can unwind having a feeling of being at home and experiencing their beloved brands.”
It’s also an ideal place for people from other nationalities to experience authentic Filipino flavours.
