In what is sure to be the best news you’ll hear all week, Jollibee has revealed its plans to expand throughout the UAE. The wildly popular Filipino fast food chain opened in the Dubai Mall last May to fanatic foodies who waited in line for several hours to get a taste.

Six new branches will open in 2016 including an outlet in the Mall of the Emirates and in BurJuman Centre. No word on where the other outlets will be yet, but we’re counting on at least one in Abu Dhabi.

Dennis M. Flores, Jollibee’s vice president for international markets, says, “Our 1000th Jollibee store opening at The Dubai Mall was the most successful store opening in the world. We welcomed and served hundreds of people eager to have a taste of Jollibee.”

The success of that opening is what drove the company to expand across the UAE. On opening day, Jollibee in the Dubai Mall sold record-breaking numbers of some of its most famous bites such as the Jolly Spaghetti and the Chickenjoy. The store is the most financially successful restaurant worldwide for the company.

Hisham Al Gurg, the franchisee of Jollibee in the UAE, says, “We are excited to bring such a well-loved brand to where many of its loyal customers reside, as well as introduce it to many new customers who may have never heard of it yet.”

Jollibee has plans to open 100 more stores across the GCC by 2020.
