Another new American burger joint has opened in Dubai, this time at Ibn Battuta Mall. It’s the first of 50 outlets planned for the franchise in the region.
Habit Burger Grill is famous for its chargrilled burger, which is 100 per cent ground beef cooked over an open flame, topped with melted cheese, caramelised onions, pickles, tomato, mayonnaise and lettuce, served on a toasted bun. The eatery also serves up made-to-order sandwiches with USDA choice tri-tip sirloin, grilled chicken or sushi-grade albacore tuna. They have made-to-order salads too, along with milkshakes, malts and sides such as sweet potato fries and tempura green beans.
Habit Burger Grill started in Santa Barbara, California in 1969 and now has more than 160 outlets in the United States. This is the concept’s first international location and is owned and operated by franchise partner Food Quest Restaurants Management.
Russ Bendel, CEO of Habit Burger Grill, says, “We are proud to open our first international Habit Burger Grill and welcome Food Quest to the Habit family. We look forward to partnering with Food Quest to open many more locations as we continue to become everyone’s favourite Habit, one burger at a time.”
Eli Madbak, brand operations manager at Food Quest, says, “The Habit’s made-to-order burgers and delicious menu will be appealing to consumers in Dubai and we look forward to bringing this popular American brand to new markets.”
