Diners aboard The Queen Elizabeth 2 in Dubai have been enjoying a comedic dining experience hosted by Basil, Sybil and Manuel, characters from the British television show Fawlty Towers.

Fans of the classic series which ran from 1975 to 1979, have been boarding the QE2 to enjoy the Faulty Towers Dining Experience. This interactive evening sees diners seated in the ship's Grand Lounge for a three-hour event that's served with plenty of drama, improv and, according to one diner, "lots of laughs".

Early in the evening, Basil yells at diners to "stop eating" before explaining that the chef has lost something personal and asking diners if they "mind having a look in your soups please?"

Sybil cracks the whip a dishes out some cutting satire as per the original television series. Waiter Manuel gets the entire restaurant involved in his famous "Uno, dos, tres" catchphrase from series one, episode one of the show that was named the greatest ever British TV sitcom by a comedy experts and the Radio Times.

If you fancy a night of comedic catastrophe, there's still time to get tickets for the final Faulty Towers Dining Experience taking place on the QE2 today, Friday September 20. Tickets start from Dh375 with seatings at 2pm and 8.30pm, www.theatrebyqe2.com
