Ever tried a burger on a black bun? Barcelos Flame Grilled Chicken is about to launch their new jet black buns in Dubai. The buns, made black with food colouring, will come stuffed with a veggie patty (Dh24), chicken (Dh26) or beef patty (Dh28).
Barcelos has two locations in Dubai: one in IBN Battuta Mall and one that opens July 1 in the airport free zone, next to terminal two.
“We have launched the black bun burgers in India and sales went up 300 per cent,” says Balu Subramonian, operations manager of Barcelos. “We are launching at all the outlets now because it’s been so successful. It’s just for fun, to do something different. It gets people talking.”
