Chocolate lovers, take note. Cocoa Kitchen, a new restaurant in City Walk, Dubai, has just opened its doors. Every item on the menu — from the appetisers and drinks to the mains and desserts — contains cocoa.

Head chef James McDonald says: “Cocoa Kitchen is truly a celebration of its namesake ingredient. We have sourced cocoa of the highest grades to offer diners an experience that is truly unique, inventive and something that will entice their taste buds like never before.”

Breakfast includes bites such as shakshouka with cocoa nib salt and poached eggs with avocado salsa, cocoa butter and toast. For heartier lunch and dinner fare, items include cocoa nib and pistachio rice, cocoa-crusted beef tenderloin, tuna ceviche with white chocolate dressing and butternut squash cocoa ravioli. There’s even smashed potatoes with white chocolate gravy.

Dessert options include an extra dark 75 per cent chocolate fondant, chocolate cigars and Saint Domingue 75 per cent and Papua 37 per cent chocolate tart. There’s also a children’s menu to delight little ones — seriously, what kid doesn’t love chocolate?

Cocoa Kitchen, with an interior inspired by an old chocolate factory, can serve more than 100 guests in its indoor and outdoor seating areas. It's open daily from 8am to midnight. For more, visit cocoakitchen.ae/en
