Crowne Plaza Abu Dhabi’s popular Asian and Italian restaurants, Cho Gao and Spaccanapoli, will offer foodies a host of delicious new options from September 1.

Cho Gao, which means “rice market” already has a mean Japanese and Vietnamese menu. The crispy volcano salad, Vietnamese banana blossom salad, black pepper beef and salmon sashimi are must-haves. For the upgrade, chef Areewan Larpnikorpkul looks to her Thai roots. The new dishes include: Asian beef salad, char kway teow with beef (wok fried noodles with vegetables and meat) and khao NAA ped (roasted duck, marinated with five spices).

Over at Spaccanapoli, chef Luca, too, goes back to the basics of Italian cooking to whip up 26 new dishes, inspired by dishes from different parts of Italy. These include: tuna carpaccio from Sicily, tagliata (steak with Parmesan and rocket) from Tuscany, vitello tonnato (cold veal with a creamy sauce) from Piemonte, seafood ravioli from Liguria, and moscardini in guazzetto (octopus stew) from Naples.

The restaurant will also feature weekly dishes from Luca’s hometown of Modena, such as fettuccine with mussels and oyster sauce, beef-stuffed tortellini with mushroom porcini and cream sauce.
