You can’t ride it, but you won’t want to miss the Polar Express Gingerbread Train at the Waldorf Astoria in Ras Al Khaimah.
The 21-metre train — the longest sweet train in the UAE — was built with more than 2,400 gingerbread tiles and weighs one half tonne. The train is 3.2 metres high and is decorated with gingerbread, festive bows, wrapped gifts, Christmas trees, snow and stars. There is even a Christmas shop inside one of the passenger cars with sweet treats on offer. There is also a 6.5-metre tall replica of Grand Central station in front of the train.
The gingerbread train is parked in the hotel lobby at the entrance of Qasr Al Bahar restaurant. It will be on display until December 31.
