Brunches in the UAE are horses for courses depending on your taste, but for Al Wadi Desert in Ras Al Khaimah the new equestrian-inspired brunch experience is right on time, especially with the Dubai World Cup just weeks away.

Marketed as a country-style Friday brunch, guests will pull up a chair between the stables and paddocks at the Al Wadi Equestrian & Adventure Centre, within the Al Wadi Nature Reserve.

Catering to families, there will be a carving corner, a live burritos station, a “do-it-yourself” salmon bagel stand, an organic breakfast station, and an authentic Emirati corner featuring the finest Khaleeji cuisine. For the kids, there is a colourful veggie display and a mini chefs kids corner.

Professional or amateur riders can book their private horse ride in the desert following brunch, to complement the experience if they prefer.

The Equestrian Brunch at Al Wadi Desert hotel, which is part of the Ritz-Carlton and a 45-minute drive from Dubai, starts from Dh220 for adults (excluding taxes but including nature reserve conservation fee), children ages 6 to 12 cost Dh120 and those under 6 are free.
