Afternoon tea isn’t just for adults — and the chefs in Al Samar Lounge in Jumeirah Mina A’Salam in Dubai are taking note. The team has just introduced a specially curated kids’ afternoon tea with a mix of sweet and savoury selections that will delight developing palates.
The tea is themed around a fantasy world where everything seems upside down. Kids will get macaroon burgers with cookie fries that come with vanilla, strawberry and mango syrups aptly served in ketchup, mayo and mustard bottles; fresh ‘pizza’ will be served right out of a cookie pan with fruit toppings; and they’ll also get inverted melting ice cream served cupcake style. The savoury items are just as creative with rainbow jam sandwiches served in push pop form and brioche cupcakes with whipped cream cheese and ketchup potato chips. Little ones can wash it all down with as much strawberry compote juice or chocolate milk as they want.
While kids are indulging, adults can also tuck into their own four-course afternoon tea with pastries, scones, savoury bites and more.
