• Bring the kids to Lana’s Partiperfect in Marina Office Park on Sunday and Monday for the annual gingerbread house decorating party. Kids of all ages are invited to decorate gingerbread houses, make paper Christmas stockings and decorate mini Christmas trees. There will also be sweet treats and giveaways. • Asia de Cuba is coming to the capital. The iconic Cuban restaurant popular in North America is a fusion of Asian and Cuban cuisine with dishes that include Cuban seafood stew, shrimp churros with coconut curry and cumin roasted lamb leg with maduros (sweet, fried plantains). The restaurant, located on Nation Tower’s beachfront location along the corniche, is scheduled to open in January.
• Next Wednesday, kick off the holiday season at Emirates Palace during their tree-lighting ceremony. Santa Claus will be on hand to greet children at the base of the 24-foot Christmas tree. There will be a group of carolers performing holiday songs and an assortment of classic Christmas cookies on offer. From 7pm, free entry.
