• Take a Valrhona chocolate masterclass this weekend at Jones the Grocer. Elizabeth Stevenson, the executive pastry chef at Qbara restaurant in Dubai’s Fort Complex, will teach guests how to create the Valrhona jivara chocolate tart and the Valrhona dulcey and marmalade panna cotta. The chefs Ignacio Moreno and Patricia Dios will serve up a signature tapas menu from Monday until November 17. The chefs are visiting from the Jumeirah Port Soller hotel in Spain. • Pie Face Bakery will launch its first outlet in the Middle East in Yas Mall when it opens next week. The Australian baker specialises in handmade, gourmet pies — both sweet and savoury.
