Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas have shared the first pictures of the actual ceremonies from their Jodhpur wedding. The two images show what the bride and groom wore for the two ceremonies – a Christian wedding followed by a traditional Hindu blessing.
Chopra’s first wedding dress – a white lace gown with a high neck and mesh sleeves – was designed by Ralph Lauren, who also dressed the groom and members of the wedding party. The dress was hand-beaded, and paired with an extravagant 75-foot veil.
For the Hindu ceremony, Chopra changed into a choli and lehenga in traditional bridal red, covering her head with a floor-length lace-trimmed dupatta. Jonas wore a gold sherwani with a feathered turban.
In an interview with People magazine, both the bride and groom spoke of their emotion during the day, and said it was "perfect" from start to finish.
The ceremonies were held at the opulent Umaid Bhawan Palace, before two receptions which will take place in Mumbai and Chopra's native New Delhi.
The couple received some criticism online for including animals in their ceremony, with the chief executive of Peta India accusing them of "animal abuse". The couple, who had a horse and an elephant as part of the service, have yet to respond to critics.

Chopra was wearing a beautiful green saree, and chooda bangles - which a newlywed woman traditionally wears for several weeks after her wedding ceremony. Around her neck, Chopra wore a traditional mangalsutra necklace - with black and gold beads, another marker of a newlywed. Jonas, meanwhile, opted for a monochrome khaki suit - perhaps hinting that their honeymoon will be a safari? Photo: Reuters -
