The runner-up in the Miss World Philippines 2012 competition, April Love Jordan, died this week, aged 31.
Media in the Philippines are reporting that she succumbed to liver cancer on Friday. Jordan competed in many beauty pagaents in the Philippines, and also worked in the travel industry, having gained a tourism degree.
Miss Tourism International 2017, Jannie Alipo-on shared touching photos and videos from Love Jordan's funeral yesterday:
"Our Christmas Parties, reunions, will never be the same. We will miss your gifts, your positive vibes," Alipo-on wrote.
Queenie Rehman, who won Miss World Philippines in 2012, wrote a tribute to Love Jordan on Instagram as well.
"I'm lost for words," she wrote. "I just can't accept that you're gone. We won't be able to have these wonderful moments together. I know that you're in good place right now and we will truly miss you. You fought hard in life till your very last breath. We are truly grateful to have met you and of course being one of your close friends during Miss World Philippines and the years after that. We love you and we will miss you so much."
