It's a night that fetes some of the world's most influential figures, and many turned out on the red carpet for Time magazine's annual 100 Gala.

The occasion, which ties in with the publication's unveiling of its list of the 100 most influential people of the year, was held in New York on Tuesday night.

Stars of the screen, music industry, sporting world and politics convened at the Lincoln Center, with famous faces such as Taylor Swift, Julianne Moore, Sandra Oh and Brie Larson all in attendance.

Representing the region on the red carpet was footballer Mohamed Salah and Oscar-winner Rami Malek, while Love Story star Swift treated guests to a five-set performance during the exclusive dinner.
