She brings a sparkle to any stage she stands on, but this week, Jennifer Lopez shined bright thanks to the helped of the region's couturiers.

The singer and actress kicked off her latest tour, It's My Party, on June 7 – a musical event that marks the star's approaching 50th birthday on July 24.

For the series of concerts, which spans North America and features dates in selected other countries, such as Turkey and Egypt, Lopez plucked several designs from the ateliers of Arab designers for her wardrobe.

The On The Floor singer opened her tour in a custom-made leotard by Lebanese designer Nicolas Jebran, which turned heads thanks to its neon hue and jagged cut-out patterns.

"The glamorous J.Lo glowing in the dark," the 44-year-old creative captioned a photograph of the design which he posted to his Instagram account. Jebran also thanked crystal-maker Swarovski for supporting the creation, adding that the bodysuit was dotted with 50,000 UV-reflective gems.

"A piece of art," the designer told his 290,000 followers, "an innovation like no other."

Lopez teamed the distinctive piece with thigh-high boots in a matching luminescent palette, which were created by Jebran in collaboration with Lebanese shoe designer Andrea Wazan.

"I never imagined this day would come! I remember dancing with my sisters to all her songs growing up (still do now)," Wazen posted on Instagram. "And now she’s dancing on stage in my boots! Feeling so blessed."

During the It's My Party tour, Lopez also sported a dramatic, beaded mini dress by another designer from Lebanon: Zuhair Murad.

The midnight-blue creation, teamed with a silky, crystal-studded bomber jacket, was a bespoke couture outfit made especially for the star, the label revealed on Instagram, adding that Lopez "absolutely rocks the stage."

It's not the first time the singer has turned to designers of the Arab world during her decades-long career. Lopez, who is engaged to former baseball star Alex Rodriguez, has previously worn gowns by Murad to the 2012 Oscars and the 2015 Golden Globes, and has also been spotted in creations by Elie Saab, Rami Al Ali and Rami Kadi.

The star also donned a look by Dubai-based label Amato Couture in her music video for single Medicine, which was first released in April.
