Charlize Theron in Gucci, Olivia Wilde in Michael Kors and Eva Longoria in Victoria Beckham: the pantsuit was the order of the day at the annual Women in Entertainment breakfast hosted by The Hollywood Reporter on Wednesday, December 11, in Los Angeles.

At the event, Reese Witherspoon and Ronan Farrow were honoured. Witherspoon received the Sherry Lansing Leadership Award for her work behind the camera, as well as in front of it:
"Send the first email. Break the silence in a room," she told the crowd. "Ask the first question. Embrace your inner shrew and do something."
Kerry Washington presented the award to Witherspoon, and spoke to the audience about how "historically, in Hollywood, power wasn't something women got."
Pulitzer-Prize winning journalist Ronan Farrow received the Equality in Entertainment award, and in his acceptance speech he said any award he's gotten is because of "many brave sources", most of who are women. He went on to criticise a "system that protects powerful and dangerous men".
His speech was brief, ending with: "Thank you for this award. I’ll leave it there. As a man on this stage, I’m well aware of the importance of shutting up and listening."
Former Fox News anchor Gretchen Carlson, whose story is charted in the new film Bombshell, talked about how she wants to ensure that NDAs (non-disclosure agreements) don't stand in the way of exposing workplace misconduct.
"It’s time to lift our voices. I want my voice back. And I want to protect yours."
