Cardi B has cemented her love for one regional designer, after being immortalised as a statue in one of his pieces.

The American rapper and songwriter is one of four artists being honoured in artwork form by streaming service Spotify this week, with life-size replicas of selected performers erected at the Brooklyn Museum in New York City.

The exhibition, which is on display until April 7, pays tribute to the stars inducted into Spotify's RapCaviar “Pantheon", which celebrates the breakthrough artists of the year.

Also featured alongside Cardi B – born Belcalis Marlenis Almanzar – are WRLD, Jaden Smith and Gunna.

For the I Like It singer's artistic iteration, her stylist, Kollin Carter, plucked a design from Lebanese label Ashi Studio for Cardi B to wear during her sitting.

The high-necked white gown featured ornate embroidery and billowing split sleeves, and was accessorised with a headpiece by New York brand Laurel DeWitt.

Ashi Studio is the namesake label of Saudi-born designer Mohammed Ashi, who launched his Beirut studio in 2007.

The brand has since dressed stars including Sonam Kapoor, Sarah Jessica Parker and Beyonce.

This isn't the first time Cardi B has sported Ashi Studio, either; the Bodak Yellow star wore a voluminous, ruffled creation by the label at the 2018 Grammy Awards, and a black gown in her Money music video, which was released in December.
