Not only is she is a world-respected human rights lawyer, the wife of The George, and mother to twins Ella and Alexander, Amal Clooney arrived at 74th Venice Film Festival on September 2 looking absolutely stunning.
Giving us all a masterclass in film-star glamour, the couple arrived via speedboat for the premier of George's film Suburbicon. Despite having given birth to twins a mere three months ago, Amal, who wore a lilac chiffon Atelier Versace gown, managing to outshine everyone (even her husband). Elegant and sophisticated, she radiated effortless style, pairing the dress with statement earrings, and a dark magenta lip by make-up artist Charlotte Tilbury.
Other notable outfits were seen on actor Julianne Moore, who stars in the film as Nancy Moore, who opted for a shimmering champagne Valentino gown with plunging neckline, and Bruna Marquezine, who wore a beautiful pale pink Alberta Ferretti caped dress.
Alessandra Mastronardi, in a breathtakingly simple bias-cut satin gown also by Alberta Ferretti, proved that amid the garish look-at-me outfits that crop up at these high-profile events understatement is always a winning formula.
Meanwhile Rebecca Hall turned up to the premier of Downsizing wearing a lavish beaded gown by Armani Prive.
