The red carpet at the 75th annual Cannes Film Festival has not disappointed. Looks have been bright, bold and dramatic, and many of them have been created by Lebanese designers.
Beirut fashion house Elie Saab is behind a host of looks worn by celebrities on the French film festival's red carpet, including Melita Toscan du Plantier and Simone Hazanavicius, who wore his designs on the event's opening night.
Brazilian model Alessandra Ambrosio wore a princess-style Elie Saab gown with floral detail to attend the Red Sea International Film Festival's Celebration of Women in Cinema gala. At the same event, Egyptian actress Tara Emad wore a monochrome Georges Chakra gown, Yasmine Sabri wore a resplendent Rami Kadi design and Lebanese presenter Raya Abirached sported a one-shouldered crimson gown by Georges Hobeika.

Proving herself to be loyal to Lebanese designers at Cannes this year, Ambrosio also wore a white feather and laser-cut ensemble by Georges Hobeika to attend a Nespresso event during the festival.
The fashion house has also dressed English actress Wallis Day, who wore a sheer black dress for the Top Gun: Maverick premiere, and Iranian presenter Diala Makki, who sported a green bejewelled dress for the Chopard Trophy photocall.
Tony Ward, meanwhile, is behind looks worn by Indian actress Urvashi Rautela, socialite Jessica Wang, TV host and YouTube star Liza Koshy and Sabrina Elba, the Somali-American model and actress wife of Idris Elba.
Zuhair Murad is a firm celebrity favourite, having dressed model Jasmine Tookes on her September 2021 wedding day and Jennifer Lopez in her latest film, Marry Me. There are no shortage of stars wearing his designs on the French Riviera this year.
Tookes was in attendance at the event and turned to the designer once again, wearing a golden two-piece to attend the screening of Armageddon Time. And Portuguese model Sara Sampaio wore a vibrant red-caped lurex gown for the screening of Park Chan-wook's Decision to Leave.
