Dubai's Laguna Water Park is closing for three weeks for annual maintenance in order to "improve your experience", it has been announced.

As of February 3, you'll have to find other ways to splash about at Jumeirah 1's La Mer, as the park, which opened in May last year, will reopen on February 21.

Laguna is usually open from 10am to 6pm daily, and it's home to five slides: the Constrictor, Free Fall, Mad Racer, Manta group raft ride and The Loop. There's also a Lazy River and infinity pool, plus Aqua Play and Splash Pad, complete with a rain-fortress, for kids.

The park's star attraction is the region's only WaveOz 180 FloRider surf machine, which is one of only three in the world. It's a 180-degree ride experience that can accommodate three to four surfers or body boarders at a time.

Tickets for a full-day pass start from Dh99, if you buy online before 11.30am or Dh125 at the door. Children under the age of two can go for free. For more, visit www.lagunawaterpark.com
