Nicolai Friedrich may wax eloquent about the scientific reasoning that all his tricks are based on, but anyone who’s ever seen the German mentalist in action is likely to seriously question the power of logical reasoning. He’s even managed to impress David Copperfield, who bought the exclusive TV rights to one of Friedrich’s shows.
The illusionist, who is coming to the UAE for the first time, is known for his mind-bending illusions and displays an almost unbelievable ability to control and influence thoughts. From accurately predicting sport outcomes and guessing the name a pregnant lady in the audience had thought up for her child, to lighting matches out of thin air and reading the minds of and hypnotising his most cynical guests, Friedrich is known for his highly interactive shows, witty banter and use of technology.
“Nicolai has a commanding stage presence and he incorporates elements such as humour and rich visual artistry in all his shows,” said Ashvin Gidwani, managing director of AGP World DMCC, which is bringing the artist to Dubai.
Friedrich will put on two shows at 2.30pm and 4.30pm on November 25, at the Meyana Auditorium at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel. Tickets cost between Dh100 and Dh300, and are available from Platinum List.

Trump has so far secured 295 Electoral College votes, according to the Associated Press, exceeding the 270 needed to win.
