Saudi Arabia's crown prince receives call from emir of Qatar

Qatar's Emir Sheikh Tamim Al Thani spoke to Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman by phone on Sunday and emphasised his country's firm support for the government and people of Saudi Arabia, Qatar's state media reported.

The leaders discussed the latest regional and international developments, and re-affirmed their commitment to consolidating Arab and Gulf action, Qatar News Agency said, quoting a statement from the emir's office.

"Qatar's emir also affirmed his country's firm support for the government and people of Saudi Arabia and everything that would strengthen the security, stability, and sovereignty of the kingdom," the office said.

"He considers [Saudi Arabia's] stability to be an integral part of the stability of the state of Qatar and the Gulf Co-operation Council system."
Prince Mohammed expressed his thanks to Sheikh Tamim for his well wishes and fraternal sentiment, the Saudi News Agency reported.
