The Dubai-based men’s accessories label Velsvoir closed the second day of shows with its take on hyper-preppy sportswear.
It was less of Ralph Lauren’s conservative version of English prep – and more Michael Bastian: playful colour combos, tight-fitting trousers and an occasional wink. In this case, printed cummerbunds and crisscrossing suspenders.
The label’s designers – three brothers – collaborated with the German tailor Patrick Hellman for the suiting, which was finely executed, especially in vivid plaid.
Velsvoir’s bread and butter – bow ties, pocket squares and ties – were naturally a highlight.
