The UAE will have a country pavilion at Expo 2015 in Milan to share its efforts to address food and hunger issues and promote Expo 2020 Dubai.

Organisers of Expo 2015 have spent the last six years preparing an exhibition that will explore how to tackle global food and hunger challenges.

The Milan team invited the UAE consulate general and the Expo 2020 Dubai team to participate in the event. Representatives from the Road and Transport Authority, Dubai Police, Dubai World Trade Centre, Dubai Municipality and the Expo 2020 Dubai Bureau will observe and learn from Milan’s experience.

The Dubai team was pleased to get an early look at the strategies, priorities, challenges and remedial measures put in place for such a large-scale global event.

“The road to a successful expo in Dubai includes meeting with former expo cities and planners to ensure we are aware of all of the operational challenges that we may encounter,” said Reem Al Hashimi, Minister of State and managing director of the Expo 2020 Dubai Higher Committee and director general of Expo 2020 Dubai Bureau.

She added that Dubai executives appreciate Expo 2015 for sharing their experiences.
