More than 370 people from the UAE, Qatar and Oman have taken advantage of Britain’s new electronic visa waiver scheme, which allows visits to the UK of up to six months without a visa.
The initiative started on Tuesday and 170 Emiratis, 107 Qataris and 102 Omanis had signed up by the evening.
Applicants are required to provide their full name, date of birth and exact flight details.
There is no requirement to provide biometrics, attend a visa application centre or hand in passports before travelling.
