Ministry campaign advises Emirati travellers

ABU DHABI // The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is continuing an awareness campaign for Emiratis travelling abroad.
The campaign includes tips and guidance on what safety measures to take when in other countries, state news agency Wam reported.
The Twajudi service is available for UAE nationals travelling abroad, who can register for the programme and can be reached by an embassy in case of an emergency.
The campaign educates citizens on safety measures that ensure their comfort so they can enjoy their holidays abroad without problems or emergencies, said Rashid Al Dhaheri, director of the Citizens' Affairs Department at the ministry.
The ministry has distributed informative brochures at air and land ports, he said.
Mr Al Dhaheri called on UAE nationals to regularly check travel advisories on the ministry website and smartphone applications for current information.
