DUBAI // A fire broke out at Arabian Ranches Golf Club on Tuesday afternoon.
The fire was reported at 4.15pm, said Lt Col Firas Belhasa, director of the Dubai Civil Defence operations department.
The fire started in the club’s garage and 38 golf cars were destroyed, he said.
Firefighters extinguished the blaze and the cooling process started at 5.06pm.
Dubai Police advised motorists on Tuesday to use alternative routes or yield to police, ambulances and Civil Defence vehicles heading to the area.
