DUBAI // Seawings has appointed Ali Al Saloom - founder of AskAli.com, author of several UAE guidebooks and regular contributor to The National - its new social media ambassador.
Seawings is the only seaplane tour operator in the UAE and offers tours of Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah.
Stuart Wheeler, chief executive of Seawings, said Mr Al Saloom will be a welcome addition to showing off the best of the UAE from the skies.
"Ali is passionate about travel. He has an in-depth cultural awareness and a unique insight into Gulf culture which makes him a perfect match for Seawings to share cultural insights and acquaint tourists with the UAE," said Mr Wheeler.
Those who follow Mr Al Saloom's website Facebook page, and Twitter and Instagram accounts will get to see photos he has taken and stories about his time in the air.
"I've always been fascinated [by] flying and seeing new places of my country and the region from a different view such as the sky, so to be involved in such cooperation with Seawings is quite an honour," said Mr Al Saloom. "I'm looking forward to raising more awareness about visiting different places of our beautiful country from a Seawings' view."
