The first phase of Ras Al Khaimah Zoo will open tomorrow in Al Dagdaga.
The zoo, which cost Dh6 million in its first phase, will feature African lions, white lions, white tigers, rare golden tigers, panthers, wolves and rare deer and birds.
It also includes a ladies and children equestrian club, restaurants, cafes and a children’s playground as well as a bikeway and track for horse and camel riding plus prayer rooms for men and women.
The second phase of the project includes the construction of an air-conditioned area featuring rare reptiles, birds and an aquarium. It will cost approximately Dh10 million and is scheduled to be completed within one year and a half.
