It should come as no surprise that Facebook is the most popular website in the UAE, with over 77 per cent of internet users logging on to the social networking site.
But research released today shows that two Middle Eastern websites also rank among the top-10 most-visited sites in the UAE - spelling good news for the region’s fledgling online industry.
The classifieds website Dubizzle and ecommerce site Souq were each visited by more than 370,000 UAE internet users in July, according to the research firm Ipsos.
The rankings are among the first results for the UAE released by Ipsos’s Online Audience Measurement Panel, which measures web statistics in several regional countries.
