ABU DHABI // Etisalat has reduced roaming rates for data, voice calls and text messaging in the GCC.
The new rates are offered to both prepaid and postpaid customers and went into effect on Saturday, the telecommunications company said.
Data roaming rates have the largest discount, reduced from Dh4.774 per megabyte to Dh3.122 per megabyte.
Rates for outgoing calls to the UAE and GCC countries have been reduced from Dh2.35 to Dh2.277 per minute. For incoming calls, rates have been reduced from Dh1.285 to Dh1.028 per minute.
The new rates were introduced in coordination the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority to provide roaming services in the GCC at affordable costs.
