Sony brings PS4 Remote Play to Xperia Z2 range

Feature on the new flagship Z3 range has now been added to the Z2, while other technology has also been updated.

Sony has rolled out an upgrade allowing Xperia Z2 smartphone and tablet users to access PlayStation 4 Remote Play and other new features found on the Xperia Z3.

The new flagship range was launched in the UAE last month, with the Z3 Dual smartphone priced at Dh2,999 and the Compact at Dh2,499.

The major upgrade allowed PS4 users, via Wi-Fi, to use their console without a television set, instead using the smartphone or tablet screen.

“The latest software upgrade brings PS4 Remote Play, hi-res audio and new smart social camera apps, among other features,” Sony said in a statement.

“This update includes the latest version of the acclaimed and popular battery stamina mode; and brings ultra stamina mode to Xperia Z2, giving you even more prolonged usage.”
